Finding Peace with God

Finding Peace with God

After we've worked our way through the steps towards forgiveness, we begin to find peace within ourselves and towards others.  But what about the times when we feel out of balance with God?

Needing to find peace with God is not a new concept or revelation.  After all, we have human traits that promotes us to want to place blame on ourselves, others and yes even God  although deep down we know God is not the originator of evil or bad things that happen. And yet, we rationalize that since God is God, He is responsible for allowing the various forms of harm within ourselves, nature and humanity.

Matthew 5:45
He maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust

Finding peace with God is a critical element within our spiritual existence with our creator.  Without it, we go about our day fractured from our Holy source even though we continue to serve and praise Him.  Over time, we are acknowledging God only in routine;  what should be a heartful, joyous love and servitude for God is replaced with a dryness and/or lack of feeling laced within only formalities.

The resurrectional love back towards God begins as we take accountability about how we arrived at this divide in the first place.  Correcting it, and then understanding through our new lens that God is the one who is true, just, loving, caring, faithful and never changing.  We are the ones who are challenged in not only achieving these spiritual characteristic attributes but maintaining them.

In our quest to dwell within the spiritually healthy existence God created us for, we need to offer up our forgiveness to God in order to acquire peace with God again.  Although, God doesn't need to be forgiven, He understands it's part of the human steps towards forgiveness which grants the ability of "letting go" of what is ailing us and allowing more of His presence within us to ignite our healing process and to once again grow spiritually in Him.
